Our Approach

Purpose of the association: At Forró de Colônia e.V. (FdC), we cultivate and promote the Brazilian dance Forró with respect, joy, and equality.

Mission statement: FdC is an inclusive, respectful, and vibrant community. We believe that dancing is a way to connect with others, based on trust, joy and mutual respect. You can read more in our mission statement!

The Care Committee, which was founded in 2024, consists of three elected members and is responsible for establishing care work as a long-term part of the association. We raise awareness, provide a point of contact, establish care as a lasting structure and continuously develop new ideas and concepts for promoting well-being. We’re here for you!
