Who is awareness important for?

  • For all of us: Care work creates well-being and safety on the dancefloor.

  • For FdC members: We are all responsible for maintaining an open and respectful Forró community.

  • For visitors: You should feel safe and know that your boundaries are respected. You should also take away positive memories of FdC.

  • For teachers: They are role models – shaping classes and workshops so that everyone can dance with respect and mindfulness. They also actively practise care.

  • For artists: Which groups or DJs are performing? What songs are played? How does the audience respond? Performers contribute to an atmosphere of appreciation.

  • For other associations: Have you considered the importance of care? Have you noticed a difference when it’s part of your work? How do you approach it, and what can we learn from one another?

We are open to exchanging ideas with all Forró dancers. You are part of the Forró community, like a big family where we look out for each other.
