In Cologne you can take the trams of the KVB to come from A to B. Here you can choose between different ticket versions. You should always choose the ZONE 1B, so you can travel in the whole city. The tickets you buy inside the tram at the vending machine. You should always carry coins with you to buy the tickets. If you don’t have any, just ask someone in the tram, normally Cologne people are really friendly and can help you out! 🙂
Tickets in the ZONE 1B
Single ticket for ONE person up to 4 stations: 2,00 €
Single ticket for ONE person (one direction): 3,00€
One day ticket ONE person: 8,80€
One day ticket GROUP (5 people): 13,40€
By Bike: A good alternative to public transport is to rent a bike. See for example KVB-Rad. The registration is free and it’s just 1€ for half an hour.
